The research project MAMA (Measurements for additive manufacturing) was funded by POR FSE Umbria 2014-2020 – Axis 3 – Investment priority 10.3 “Activation of research grants annuity 2018-2019 “, referred to in DD n. 3806 of 20/04/2018 of the Regional Directorate for Productive Activities, Work, Training and Education of the Umbria Region.
The project is dedicated to the development of “intelligent” additive manufacturing systems able to identify and predict the onset of problems during the execution of the production process and possibly implement the necessary corrective actions. The project involves the design of an additive machine based on FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) technology for polymeric materials, with the function of an open research platform, that is, a prototype platform on which different sensorization and data analysis technologies can be designed, implemented and tested.
MAMA started at the end of 2018 and will continue in 2019.
