The study conducted by Idea-Re in collaboration with University of Padua and University of Perugia has been awarded as “Best Paper presented by a woman” at MetroAgriFor 2021.
The fourth edition of MetroAgriFor – IEEE International Workshop on Metrology for Agriculture and Forestry took place in Trento and Bolzano from 3 to 5 November.
During the conference closing ceremony, our research study “Anomaly detection in plant growth in a controlled environment using 3D scanning techniques and deep learning”, conducted in collaboration with University of Padua and University of Perugia, has been awarded as “Best Paper presented by a woman”.
The study compares diverse contactletss methodologies – 3D scan and 2D Computer Vision algorithms – to monitor the growth of plants in a greenhouse. The acquired data are used as inputs for Deep Learning models aimed at detecting anomalies in plants growth.
