The IEEE Quantum Week — IEEE International Conference on Quantum Computing and Engineering — aims at bridging the gap between the science of quantum computing and the development of and industry surrounding it.
The conference brings together researchers, scientist, engineers, entrepreneurs, developers, students, practitioners, educators and programmers to discuss challenges and opportunities of quantum computing
The conference will take place from the 17th to the 22nd of September 2023.
Idea-Re will present the work “A novel approach to face early pandemics using QUBO models”, where a new optimization algorithm on how to choose sampling points for health monitoring on generic Wastewater Networks will be discussed. The optimization problem, given in QUBO or Ising form, can be solved by means Annealing techniques, most notably Quantum Annealing on D-Wave quantum computers.
Idea-Re is scheduled to present their work on the 18th, 19th and 20th of September.
