Idea-re will join the IEEE Quantum Week 2021, the prestigious conference on Quantum Computing.
The IEEE Quantum Week — IEEE International Conference on Quantum Computing and Engineering — aims at bridging the gap between the science of quantum computing and the development of and industry surrounding it. The conference brings together researchers, scientist, engineers, entrepreneurs, developers, students, practitioners, educators and programmers to discuss challenges and opportunities of quantum computing
The conference will take place from the 17th to the 22nd of October 2021.
Idea-Re will present the work “Solving Sensor Placement Problems in Real Water Distribution Networks Using Adiabatic Quantum Computation”, where a new optimization algorithm on how to place pressure sensors on generic Water Distribution Networks will be discussed. The optimization problem, given in QUBO or Ising form, can be solved by means Annealing techniques, most notably Quantum Annealing on D-Wave quantum computers.
Idea-Re is scheduled to present their work on the 20th of October, poster session n.8, 20:15 CEST.
